Long-distance move from Flagstaff, AZ to Ogden, UT

Moving Shark Company Hired Scandalous Third Party Mover.

Beware of this "moving shark" company. They set up this over the phone quote to try and count the items without a rep coming over to physically count the items (red flag but I didn't realize this was a problem until later on as I was clueless to this industry practice) so a phone quote was given. This $2600 which sounded great the quote turned out to be a joke and it seemed that the counting of actual items was pretty close to double despite us going over the items multiple time when the movers actually showed up. The movers weren't not even Presidential moving it turned out Presidential outsources to smaller companies and gives them work when they don't have a truck and drive in your area. It turned out the third party companied was some extremely janky crooked company who showed up in a Penske based out of Los Angeles. With later further research a company with a very similar name had been shut down and strikes against their DOT number for not following DOT code. So Presidential sent over these thieving crooks called Coastal Transport who were really a rag tag of mafiosio looking bandits & ex cons. They counted the items up and told us the price was more than double. The price changed insanely from the quote. At first they wanted to charge close to 7,000 dollars and make up fictitious numbers on labor, fictitious numbers on the cost per item. I pretty much told him you get it down to $5,000 (which was extremely nice on my end) or I am unpacking that truck with my brother in laws right now. They agreed but this isn't the end of it.. They took off toward Utah and we were finally about ready to leave, Coast Transport said they were planning to get there in 2 days and they had no other stops and they swore they could be easily reached.. Well we called them before we left Flagstaff which was going to be a two day drive. They weren't answering their phone which was extremely worriesome. We blew up their phone until finally they answered and said the truck broke down and for some reason were in Colorado (which mind you was not along the route they were supposed to go) and said that where they broke down they had to get towed to Denver (a blatant lie they could've been towed to Salt Lake City which was much closer and it was closer to where we needed to end up) they said the Turbo blew on a truck with 12,000 miles (yeah ok whatever, they never provided any documentation) and showed up 3 days late with our stuff, much of it manhandled items with several items crushed and damaged. I drove a Penske myself on the previous move and I never broke anything.. What manhandling monkeys.. A moving crew of Gorillas would've done better, not from a so called moving company. Turns out the moving insurance was virtually useless and would've given us dimes on the dollars per item which came out to around 30 cents a pound. So we couldn't really recoup anything there. Then they finally show up in Ogden with our stuff and the crooked owner (who by the way was not there and had already left for another job in another state) sent his thieving minion to try to haggle us out. They tried to give us a sky high final bill telling us the truck was supposedly overweight, they showed us the weigh slip which seemed about right. What happened is they had a document where we had signed and right in front of us tried to change the charge per pound rate and write in something totally different. I told them to f** off and they can't legally change a signed contract. I told the owner over the phone I have your DOT number and can easily call in and report your DOT number for not following industry practices and holding items hostage. They finally caved because they were just trying to take advantage of us and really just wanted easy money. Once I told them the cops will be here if you don't agree to the original price per pound (which came out to around $4800) they had us sign the new contract, unlocked the truck and began unloading. They unloaded everything and there was a tablet upstairs on a table charging. Due to the frenzy of the move we didn't notice until a day later it was clearly missing. We unpacked and tore through the house and it was never seen again even though it was on an obvious spot. The POS driver stole the $400 tablet to try to recoup some money. If you'd like to report their DOT number to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration here it is: 1107347

Here's all their info:

COAST TRANSPORT INC

U.S. DOT#: 1107347

Address: 17552 WILLARD STREET
NORTHRIDGE, CA 91325
Number of Vehicles: 1
Number of Drivers: 1 (they lied to DOT, they have multiple unregistered drivers)
Number of Inspections: 6

They've even had an inspection report and failed multiple driver inspections. They only have one CDL licensed driver on their team the rest are ex cons who simply drive a rental penske and mark up the services for shady ghetto moving services by thousands.

Long-distance move from Tallahassee, FL to Raleigh, NC

Job well done.

The entire move went great. The moment I spoke to Alex, I knew that Presidential was the company I wanted to move us. My whole ranch home was moved in one day, which I never thought would be possible. The 5 movers that filled the 2 trucks with all our stuff were so great. I am thrilled that we went with Presidential and I will always recommend them to all my friends and co workers. We all move a lot and I finally found a trusting company.

Thank you very much for the review. We greatly appreciate you sharing your experience. We strive for excellence with every customer. We will make sure Alex is recognized at the next staff meeting. Thank you for becoming a member of the Presidential Moving family.

Bait and Switch.

Presidential used bait and switch tactics on our move. I was assured by their sales team (Alex) over the phone that they only used company owned equipment, and he always over quoted over the phone to ensure no surprises on moving day. On moving day, they arrived 10 hours late for the pickup window with a rental Ryder truck. The loaders wore skinny jeans and loafers and they all had alcohol on their breath. They started loading the truck, and later said to me that the cost would be 2x the original quote. We asked them to pull our things off the truck because we had a second quote that was only a few hundred dollars more than their first estimate over the phone. The head guy claimed it was too late, they already had started loading. We needed to sign the paperwork or else they were leaving and not going to unload our stuff. They took advantage of us, and used scare tactics to force us into signing false documentation.

During the move the loaders were drinking, and beat up our house in the process (pictures attached). They have refused to provide us with the claims process.

We were supposed to receive our stuff weeks ago. They have told us our stuff would be delivered on 4 different occasions. I have taken 2 days off work to accommodate delivery and they do not call or show up.

It has been 20 days now since they first said our belongings would be delivered and we still haven't seen our stuff and have no idea when it is coming. We have had to purchase new mattresses and furniture. I also own a small ecommerce business and have run out of stock on a few items due to them holding my good & inventory hostage.

I have asked to pick up my stuff from the warehouse where my stuff is being stored. We ware desperate, my business has taken a hit due to the out of stocks (inventory they are holding hostage), so I was going to rent a Uhaul and pick it up. However, they refuse to disclose the location of where our stuff was being stored.

This business is unethical and you should run away. I have given them several chances to make this right with my wife and I, so leaving this review is one of my last hopes to ever seeing our stuff again.

Long-distance move from Natoma, KS to Barnsdall, OK

Pretty good.

The entire service was good. The moving coordinator was smart, kind, and very honest. Every question that I had she answered. Jen you deserve 5 stars. The movers were an hour late on the day of delivery because of weather but that’s not my fault so that’s the reason for the 4 stars. I still recommend presidential to my friends and family. I was just a little bitter about the weather holding up my delivery.

Long-distance move from Zephyr Cove, NV to Greenwood, SC

Where is our shipment? Picked up September 23rd due October 2nd.

Our shipment was picked up September 23rd from Zephyr Cove NV. The Presidential Mover people did a great job on pick-up & packing and they told us that it would first go to Sacramento and then would be re-loaded on a larger truck direct to Greenwood SC. They also told us that we should expect delivery on October 2nd.

On September 28th Presidential Moving called and told us that we should obtain immediately a Money Order for the balance of payment, and that the shipment it was on it's way from NV (why not Sacramento?). We were told to expect arrival soon. We called Presidential Moving on the 30th September to confirm that we have a Money Order and would like a status update. We were told that the person we had been coordinating with had since left the company and that someone would call us back soon.

Since October 1st we have been calling Presidential Moving daily (sometimes twice daily and logging all calls) trying to get status on delivery.

We have been passed on to many different people (8 at the last count) in dispatch, customer service and even the sales departments. They seem sympathetic but they cannot tell us when we will get our shipment. Responses (many recorded) state: "we will get back to you" , or "someone will call you back" (NOBODY has ever called us back in nearly 2 months!!).

In the last 2 weeks we finally found someone permanent to answer the phone, Jess (who genuinely seems to be trying to help) and he states "Dispatch says it has left Nevada. We will call you back" (but Nobody has called us back).

What is so frustrating and aggravating is that it us that has to make the calls, sometimes 2-3 times each day. We have never had anyone in 2 months call and either apologize for any delay, or tell us where our shipment is actually physically located. We made the drive from California/Nevada border to Greenwood SC on September 26th, stopping every day, in 3.5 days

We are so frustrated living from our suitcases for 2 months. We survived Thanksgiving with the help of friends and relatives. Winter is now coming so we are having to buy extra clothing and other things.

Our assumption now (because nobody has ever called us or emailed us to tell us what is actually happening) is that the shipment is lost. My wife is on the edge of a nervous breakdown and frequently cries, missing our personal effects, photo albums, pictures, books, all our clothing, family heirloom dishes, furniture etc.
We have a craft business together which we now cannot operate until the shipment arrives. I am missing my tools so I cannot work on needed repairs to our house.

If we do not hear from Presidential by the end of Monday, 27th November, (almost 2 months after the Sacramento Office promised delivery date!), we are contacting the Department of Transportation and will file an official complaint. We will then have to contact our 1,000 plus 'Facebook'; 'LinkedIn'; 'Twitter' and 'Instagram' friends to flood the internet.
Maybe this message will go viral and then trigger somebody at Presidential actually contact us and tell us where our shipment is located and will be delivered.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE CAN ANYONE AT PRESIDENTIAL MOVING CALL US AND GIVE US AN HONEST ANSWER ON OUR SHIPMENT? WE ARE DESPERATE FOR HELP..

Thanks.

Ever since I was young I had to move all over the country from my parents being in the military so I have used multiple movers over the years. This time I had to pay for everything on my own and do everything on my own and move across country for a new job. I spoke with many companies and the only company out there that seemed to be genuine in the knowledge of the industry was presidential. I spoke with Ken and he helped me set everything up and get the movers out to my house on time to get everything packed up and moved and delivered on time as well. Thank you very much Ken for everything you did.

Great job.

The best experience that I have ever had moving. My company moves me every three or four years and this was by far the only one that was not stressful or hard to deal with. Kim from Presidential was very nice to speak with and she set the whole move up for us. The 4 men that showed were great. The whole process deserves five stars all across the board. Best part was that nothing was damaged or lost. Thank you Kim.

This company is a complete rip off!

These guys just decided not to move us after they got half of the money, which messed up the timeline for us signing papers on our new home! Then they refused to return the "deposit" Seven Hundred Dollars! They fake their own 5 star reviews and won't publish bad ones or remove most of them so that they appear to be an upstanding moving company! They've already changed their company name because of BAD Business ethics! DON'T use these guys if you Need your things moved on time or at all!! They never moved a thing!

Local move within California

California to Kentucky.

Sunday, November 5, 2017, is moving day. I was told by Lisa that the workers would be in Presidential uniform, and that there would be two 26-foot Presidential trucks/trailers.
At 10:15am, one 26 ft. Bobtail pulled up ~ with Enterprise Rentals written on the door ~ the only markings on the truck. This trucks trailer was only capable to holding 1700 cu ft., we were paying for 1919 cu ft.
[NAME EDIT] and [NAME EDIT], the two loaders, were contracted out from another company the night before the move along with [NAME EDIT], the supervisor from Presidential. No one was in a Presidential uniform. They were wearing either a tee shirt or a tank top.
[NAME EDIT] and [NAME EDIT] were told by Presidential that this would be a simple job, everything would be packed. In truth they needed to wrap 2 large tv’s, all large pictures, and 3 stained glass lamps as stated to Presidential over the phone. They were also told by Presidential there would be no stairs. We have 19 stairs from the front door down to the street level and paid extra for them. Since this was a much larger load then they were being paid for ($200.00 ea. under the table), [NAME EDIT] and [NAME EDIT] refused to do any loading.
[NAME EDIT], the Presidential supervisor, then told us that if it was him, he wouldn’t sign any contract (which we never did see) and that we should not sign the contract for them to start loading. At this point [NAME EDIT] would have been the only one doing any loading.
In preparation, Presidential should have given us the “When You Move” booklet and a copy of ‘FMCSA’s Ready to Move’ brochure. Movers are required by Federal regulations to supply to their customers in the planning stages of interstate moves. These would have provided us with significant information for our planned move.
At this point on Sunday, they showed up with a rented Bobcat that could only hold 1700 cubic ft., which was less than the 1919 cubic feet we paid for. Contacting Presidential by phone we were told that they would come to get the rest of the load at a future date, date unknown.
Here we are with 2 loaders that refused to do any loading, a smaller truck than contracted for and a supervisor telling us not to sign the contract (we never did see the contract) because the company was not honest.
We have asked for our deposit of $1836.58 back. Presidential has now told us that we are in breach of the contract. Contacting the Presidential people by phone, they were positively rude. We were yelled at and called names; saying my husband is stupid, and tried to make it look like as if it was our fault for this load not being picked up. This has been not only stressful, but caused added expenses for us.
SUMMATION:
1. Presidential was supposed to load us Sunday November 5, 2017. We were ready.
2. They showed up with 2 loaders ([NAME EDIT] & [NAME EDIT]),1 supervisor ([NAME EDIT]) in a smaller truck than contracted for.
3. We had paid extra for having stairs. The workers were told there would not be any stairs. When the loaders saw the stairs, they refused to do any loading.
4. The supervisor, his 2nd day with the company ~ suggested that we do not sign the contract (we never did see the contract), if it was him he would not sign.
5. The 3 of them left ~ after many phone calls.
6. Contacting Presidential that day about the confusion, the employees called us names and were very rude.
7. When I asked for our deposit back since no work had been done, I was told I could not get it back because they said they would have 2 trucks here Thursday, Nov. 9th. This conflicted with our leaving for our new destination. Had they been prepared on Sunday as originally planned, none of this would have happened.
8. OR we would have been happy to pay for any extra cu ft. if another truck was sent on Sunday, November 5.
9. [NAME EDIT] and [NAME EDIT], two Presidential employees, yelled at us and blamed us for their negligence. They are recording our conversations and today Nov 5th [NAME EDIT] and [NAME EDIT] had us on speaker (not that I cared, since I had nothing to hide) It just upsets me how this company works. They kept saying because we are refusing pick up for Thursday Nov 9th, we will not get our deposit back. That we were in breach of the contract.
10. They lied about owning all their trucks. On moving day an Enterprise rental truck showed up
11. Everyone is an employee - They advised us that everyone that works for them including sales, customer service, moving foreman, warehouse employees, drivers and movers are all employees of Presidential - the truth they hand them a Presidential t-shirt on the day of your move and pretend they are employees to keep the facade.
12. The drivers are independent contractors, and the movers they get at delivery are from local resources but certainly not employees of Presidential. No one had a uniform on.
13. Their pricing - First, they did not complete a visual quote which is a best practice of a moving company. My salesperson was [NAME EDIT], I also spoke with her boss [NAME EDIT]. They base their quote on cubic sq. ft. I also sent them an exhaustive list of all my items and they conveniently forgot to add some to keep their price lower. When I pointed out to the Sales Manager that not all the items were in the quote she told me that it all washes out and that it should be fine.

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $1836

Official company response

1. Presidential did show up to complete the move, we were ready to start with the 1st truck.
2. We showed up with 2 loaders (Luis & Joe),1 supervisor (Alex) in the FIRST of 2 trucks that you contracted for.
3. Look at your contract you were charged for stairs. Don't know what you are referring to.
4. The supervisor, who has been with this company for over 3 years did NOT say that he would not sign the paperwork.
5. Our 3 men did NOT leave, YOU sent them away & made many threats towards them.
6. When you spoke with dispatch on the day of the move we told you the SECOND truck that you contracted for would be there a few hours after the FIRST, but that wasn't good enough for you.
7. YOU contracted us to relocate you, we showed up to do that, YOU sent us away, per YOUR contract, you are ineligible to receive your deposit back.
8. See # 7.
9. Lisa and Anna, two Presidential employees, did NOT yell at you. Our Policy which is stated on the phone call when you contact us, that your call is subject to recording, when they reminded you of that, YOU immediately ended the conversation and blocked our number and you unsubscribed from our emails, so we could NOT contact you. So, yes they are 100% correct, YOU are in breach of the contract and will not receive your deposit back.
10. We do own our trucks, because we purchased it from enterprise is irrelevant. WE followed all D.O.T. rules, laws, & regulations. That's why OUR info was on the DOORS of the cab of the truck. We are not required to logo our trucks.
11. Everyone is an employee. Everyone that works for us, sales, customer service, moving foreman, warehouse employees, drivers and movers are all employees of Presidential.
12. The drivers are NOT independent contractors, they are employees. As well as all of our movers that showed up at your home to move you.
13. Our pricing, which YOU contractually agreed to and signed is based on Cubic Foot. You signed the contract waiving your right to a visual quote. The list that you sent matched the contract that YOU signed. The items that you added after the reservation were to be added on the day of the move per YOUR email, due to uncertainty of taking some things.

At the end of the day, we stuck by our contract that YOU agreed to and signed. WE showed up to complete the move and you sent us away, so we did NOT move you. PER the contract, you are NOT eligible to receive your deposit back. You were aware of this and you knew that sending the movers away on move day, you would forfeit your deposit. This incident happened well over a month ago. Now you want to put up false information about what happened on move day in an attempt to get your deposit back with scare tactics. You knew you forfeited the deposit, please refrain from putting any further SLANDER / FALSE information on our company.

Thank you.

Good job!

I have moved many times before and some of the horror stories became reality. I lost in the past tens of thousands of dollars in the past. I was very skeptical about using another company again but my rep, Alex, with Presidential was very thourough and gave such a strong sense of reassurance and commitment it won’t happen again. Long behold, the companies service and his words remained to be true after all. The pick up only took a few hours to do the guys were very proffesional and used the proper equipment. I would use them again, thank you guys!

Wonderful.

Absolute perfection from presidential moving. From the very time that I put in the review I was not overwhelmed or bothered by calls and emails from Sarah who assisted my wife and I relocate from California all the way over to Alabama. I am very thankful that I went with my gut on this and we moved with presidential. I've read way too many horror stories. There was nothing but absolute perfection from the entire crew there. There was no damage pick up was on time delivery was on time and I highly recommend that anyone moving especially across country to utilize presidential moving.

Long distance move.

So far so good. We have just booked our first move wth the company, so I will be updating the review as we get further into the process. The salesman (Nick) was extremely polite and understanding of the process involved with moving 3 states over. The booking process was great and Nick was never pushy with making a sale (Which we are finding out is rare in this business). The quote was definitely lower than others we recieved. It was comparable to us paying for a truck and doing all the loading ourselves. Again, great so far. Hope to finish the process strong.

Still waiting.

I find that lack of communication from this "professional" company to be laughable. Before I left my deposit, [NAME EDIT] answered my calls and e-mails. Now that they have had my belongings for over a week I can't get anyone to call me back with a delivery window.

You can't "track" your shipment via their website like they claim. All you're doing is sending someone an e-mail with the tracking number that goes unanswered. I have left numerous messages for dispatch but they don't respond. I called from a separate number the other day and [NAME EDIT] did answer. She left me on hold for about 20 minutes while she "checked with her dispatch" only to come back and tell me she will have to call me back tomorrow with the delivery window. Of course, that never happened. I'm just trying to get an ETA, it shouldn't be this difficult and unorganized.

My quote was ridiculously off. No one from Quality Assurance ever called me before my pickup to go over my inventory like I was told. I contacted [NAME EDIT] but he "could no longer help me". I had to speak to [NAME EDIT] in QA. Again, I left messages for [NAME EDIT] and no one had the decency to call me back.

Pick-up was moved to my backup date and the crew arrived 3.5 hours late. At least dispatch was nice enough to let me know they would be late. They showed up without uniforms in an Enterprise rental truck, not a Presidential owned truck. When I asked them questions they didn't know anything about the company. I am doubting their stance on not contracting out their jobs. I will say, the 3 men from the Charlotte crew that did the pickup were thorough and fast. I have my fingers crossed that my belongings don't arrive broken. They used a dolly to take everything down the flight of steps at my apartment. Even my fragile boxes that I asked them not too.

I will update my review when or IF I ever hear back from anyone from Presidential about my delivery. My next step is to contact the Attorney General of Texas to help me get answers. We know they answer the claims that come into the office. Then it will be the news stations, I have a great story to tell and the recorded conversations to share as well.

I believe now all the positive reviews are written by Presidential employees and not customers to help their, seems to be well deserved, poor image.

Long-distance move from Taylor, MI to Advance, MO

Moving Pros.

These guys were pros. I was treated well from the first phone call that was answered, to pick up, to delivery. All team members that assisted in the move were very kind, knowledgeable, and available (which was huge) in my eyes. I dealt with Stacy who deserves 5 stars, as well as Alec, Steven, and Johnny who moved my furniture. Definitely recommend Presidential Moving to all.

Long-distance move from Champaign, IL to Pomona, CA

Move from Champaign IL to California.

I'm not a person to normally complain about things and try to reason with people, but this company is unreasonable hands down. First of all, the quote that was originally given to us is twice as much as they quoted us. They picked our things up on December 15 and confirmed that our things would be delivered December 22 at the latest. Now I understand things come and holidays and so on, but I do not accept phone calls and emails and texts not being accepted. Also I do not accept the very rude customer service! I rather not be lectured by someone who claims to be customer service that we can afford blow up beds, saying "Do you think we will steal your stuff, your stuff means nothing to us, and lastly "it's not our problem". Who is customer service us or them??

Anyway now we are a point of no return. We have basically lost hope of getting our stuff in general, and it's hard to try to explain to my young children where their toys and things that comfort them. My husband has started his new job and our missing things have really made it hard for him to get things started. I just want answers about our things. I'm tired of sleeping on blow up mattresses and becoming seriously depressed coming home to a completely empty place instead of trying to make it a home. We are coming to a point where we will have to declare a loss and will be contacting Department of transportation! I can no longer stay this way! And kept being told they are behind or being made to look like I'm the bad person for wanting to know a delivery date. If you guys don't like getting lectured or hassled it's not my problem!

Please if anyone from Presidential can contact me and give me real answers instead of making me go in circles that would be the best. I just want my thing in one piece and all accounted for.

Long-distance move from Midland, MI to Mebane, NC

Do Not Hire This Company.

I hired this company in September for a move from MI to NC. The negative reviews you are reading on this site are spot on - the "good" reviews are fake and planted by Presidential operatives. My original estimate was for $3,095 and it shot up to over $5,000 after pick up. I went 5 weeks before my things were delivered and that was only after law enforcement intervention. In those 5 weeks, I placed many phone calls, was yelled at by "Anna", given false information by "Brie", swindled by "Bobby the Mover" (sales guy), and given the run around by "Jessica" in dispatch. I have documentation, including photos, text messages, emails, phone logs, and voicemails. Here is a synopsis of their MO:

1. you go online searching for a move estimate - someone from Presidential calls you within minutes. This person will tell you how other companies will try to steal from you and manipulate you. This person will take you to a "DOT" website to show you that Presidential has their own trucks and drivers. This is an outright LIE. The broker all their deals - they do not own any trucks. The truck that picked up my things was a rental. The truck that delivered was a broker.

2. They "white glove" you through the estimate, including what seems like extra care given to your inventory. This isn't so that they can give you an accurate "sight-unseen" cu ft estimate, it's their initial casing of your goods. The cu ft estimate will go up. And other charges that weren't on your original binding estimate will show up, like "origin/destination" and watch their estimate mileage. My actual mileage from door to door was 737 miles, yet they estimate 912. They tack on a fuel surcharge and other mileage based charges so this matters. They are deliberately overcharging you.

3. Pick up will be ill defined. I had less than 12 hours notice of when the pick up crew would actually arrive. My pick up date was 9/16/17. The crew who arrived to pick up my things was 3 Russians. Two barely spoke English. AFTER my goods were packed and loaded onto the truck, I was given a "revised" estimate for $5036.40. Remember, my original estimate was for $3095.00. I was told to contact my salesperson (Bobby the Mover) about the discrepancy. I tried repeatedly to get an answer from Bobby as to what the extra charges were for or why the estimated deviated from the original. No luck. And I can prove that with a string of emails.

4. Delivery. Bobby assured me that even though they have up to 18 days after your FAD (first available date) that goods are delivered within 1-3 days because their system is so efficient. This is a LIE. My FAD was 9/22/17. My goods were not delivered until 10/21/17. I was forced to rent and buy household items while I waited for delivery. I was forced to buy new clothes so that I could dress professionally for work because they lied about delivery to get me to sign the contract. Every single time I called dispatch to get a delivery update I was given one story or another as to where my goods were or when they would arrive. I was repeatedly told by "Jessica" that the dispatch manager was out sick and the only person in their entire organization with access to the delivery schedule was the dispatch manager - so I would have to call back.

I filed a police report locally (in my new city). They were present when my goods were delivered. The driver initially declined to allow me to take delivery because I was refusing to pay the inflated estimate. It was only through the Texas DMV and local law enforcement intervention that they were able to compel the brokered driver to open the truck and deliver my goods. There were broken and missing items in my shipment. Had I not had the support of LE, I would have had to pay the inflated amount just to get my stuff back.

5. Payment. They will demand a deposit up front. This can be paid via cash, credit card, check, ACH bank transfer. If you pay via ACH, you legally have 60 days to "cancel" the transaction with your bank. If you pay with a credit card you can dispute the charges. You are out of luck if you pay in cash or check (unless you stop payment on the check before it is cashed). Where they really get you is on delivery. They only accept USPS money order or cash. They do this so that you cannot pull back the transaction in any way - this is why they ask for a small deposit and much larger balance at delivery.

I am not an uneducated person who couldn't read her contract, as "Anna" in customer service was so kind to point out in one of my numerous phone calls with her. I was deliberately swindled by a criminal syndicate. Please don't hire them and become their next victim.

Local move from Owings Mills, MD to Baltimore, MD

Good job.

It’s the best moving company I ever hired. Had many professional and experienced guys. Everyone was so energetic and cheerful. I booked my appoinment one week ago. The price was on my budget. Their staff Michael suggested me to sell some unimportant items and I followed him. It saved me from a lot of harassment. They showed their professionalism on the move day very actively, arrived on with a big truck and picked all movable belongings into that. In the mean time I reached to my place. The move took only 5 hour 30 mins to finish. Their team was super fantastic and had excellent performance even after delivery . It’s a super moving company in Maryland.

Long-distance move from San Francisco, CA to Nashville, TN

On time movers.

This was by far the best experience that I have ever been through. Moving has been a constant factor because of playing baseball. My teams always took care of the movers and this time I had to do it alone. I spoke with Ashley who was honest and reliable. The 3 movers that showed up were phenomenal and on time, which is a very big deal to me. They handled everything with care and all my stuff was delivered in a timely fashion and in the same condition it was picked up. Thanks a bunch Presidential!!

Long-distance move from Tracy, CA to Las Vegas, NV

The nightmare that just won’t end.

We contracted with Presidential to move us from CA to Las Vegas. We needed them to store our belongings for two months due to a longer than expected transition. They were very helpful and accommodating in this request. We have done a dozen corporate moves in the past, and knew to ask for a “not to exceed” quote. He agreed to this and put it in writing. We had informed our sales guy that when we moved to our home in California we had filled up an entire semi truck and expected to do so again with this move. He said no problem we will send a big truck, six guys and they will pack your house and get you moved out in one day. They called and asked to come a day early which we said yes and three guys showed up with one small Enterprise truck. Two guys did most of the work while a third was usually down the street on the phone. They packed until midnight and filled up that truck and said they would be back the following day to finish up. They. Are the next day around 1:00 and started again. By 10:00 the non-existent guy tells my husband that we have filled our allotted space and that he was increasing our quote an additional $9000. If we didn’t agree they were just going to leave with what was on their truck. They already had half our house at their warehouse, the driveway was filled with boxes, and we were closing on our home the next morning. Everything had to be out of the house. We had no option to accept and told them we would be calling corporate. We started with our sales guy, Aaron, who had answered every call up to his point at all hours of the day. He didn’t answer or return our call. EVER. They had to come back a third time the following morning to pick the final load up as their tiny truck obviously didn’t fit our stuff - AFTER the house had closed. We received a call from customer service that day to ask how our move went and did she get an ear full. We spent the next two months talking to JEFF about their extortion tactics. We learned our sales guy had been fired as did the customer service lady. It came time to get our stuff so we were forced to send the balance via wire transfer in order to get our stuff from them. We got to Vegas the day they were supposed to show and received a call they would be there 10 days later. We were forced to stay in a hotel with Kids and a 100 pound dog for those 10 days. They finally showed up with two of their small Enterpriserental trucks. Neither were filled up. We immediately knew not all of our stuff had made it to Vegas. They made a call to their warehouse, and sure enough, they found another load in a different part of their warehouse. Many calls to Jessica later (we called her no fewer than 5 times a day), we got a new delivery date which of course they missed by 6 days. When the same delivery drivers showed up with a third truck that was not even half full. They quickly unloaded the truck and took off. They were to put stuff together and were gone before we could pose the question. They tried to get us to sign that we received everything and we refused (thankfully). He said we had to sign and we again refused. After going through those boxes and counting the boxes not delivered, we are missing at least 104 of over 553 boxes. There is massive breakage, damage to furniture, broken freezer, coffee pot, computer equipment, etc. Some of the missing items include my deceased dogs ashes..which has my daughter in tears as she can’t stand the idea of him missing somewhere, her moped, keepsake items, etc. We have called Jessica numerous times a day for the past two weeks with no answer. We need our stuff back. We need answers. The stress this has caused is unimaginable. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.
